The original score by Carlo Rustichelli for the movie “I Giganti della Tessaglia” directed by Riccardo Freda in 1960.

After “Milano odia: la polizia non può sparare” and ”Roma a mano armata” Umberto Lenzi returns to the Police Movies genre with “La banda del gobbo” (aka Brother till we die) (1977) starring again Cuban actor Tomas Milian. Digitmovies presents the second volume dedicated to the Italian Police Movies: for the very first time on record the complete original motion picture score by Franco Micalizzi, one of the most prolific composers of the Italian Cinema.

“The Christmas that almost wasn’t” (Italian title: “Il Natale che quasi non fu”) is a Christmas comedy from 1966 directed and starred Rossano Brazzi. Now, 40 years after the first theatrical release of the movie Digitmovies is glad to present for the absolute first time on CD the original and complete orchestral score composed and conducted by Bruno Nicolai.

For “Spasmo” directed in 1974 by Umberto Lenzi, M° Morricone has created a score full of tension based on dissonant music of contemporary art, mixing the orchestra with electronic sounds to describe all the macabre and disquiet side of the plot.

Digitmovies proudly presents our second volume decicated to the original scores for the movies directed by Mario Bava, the Italian maestro of horror and noir cinema. This volume focuses on the original scores by Carlo Rustichelli (1916-2004) for La frusta e il corpo/The Whip and the Body (1963) and Sei donne per l’assassino/Blood and Black Lace (1964).

One of the milestones of the Italian western Soundtracks comes back on the market on a special CD edition with a totally improved sound from the 1970 stereo tapes and featuring 16 tracks never released before: Lo chiamavano Trinità.
