Digitmovies releases for the very first time a double disc set with the three scores - all of them in full stereo - by Stelvio Cipriani for three movies about the "cursed triangle" which were produced in 1978 and 1979. "The Bermuda Triangle" is a sea zone with a triangular area whose peaks comprise : The Bermuda Archipelago, Puerto Rico Island and the Florida Peninsula. During many years a lot of ships and airplanes did vanish in this wide sea zone without leaving any traces. Till today all these disappearances were objects of studies and conjectures which could not be explained. Also in the cinema "The Bermuda Triangle" has been the subject of a series of bloody motion pictures realized at the end of the '70s. The first movie "Il triangolo delle Bermude" (aka "Devil's Triangle of Bermuda"), which was made in 1978 by the Mexican director Renè Cardona Jr., tells the dramatic story of a family's voyage on a yacht which must face the mysterious phenomenon of the Triangle. Mysterious lights, S.O.S. radio signals sent from airplanes lost years before and a sinister doll "guilty" of the deaths turn up on the yacht. The Cardona movie is maybe the most successful of the series and has the support of an international cast: John Huston, Claudine Auger and the Italian actress Gloria Guida. Another mysterious doll appears in the disturbing "Bermude la fossa maledetta" (aka "Cave of the sharks") from 1978 by Italian director Tonino Ricci. The Ricci movie is more in the style of an adventure movie. A man must solve a case for a mobster - but the undertaking turns out to be full of dangers due to an extraterrestrial power which uses a bunch of mind controlled sharks to defend the submarine cave where the precious casket has fallen. The movie is an Italian/Spanish co-production starring an international cast: Arthur Kennedy, Andres Garcia and Janet Agren. The third movie is "Uragano sulle Bermude" (aka "Encounters in the deep"), also known as "L'ultimo S.O.S" or under the title "Incontro con gli umanoidi". In this movie a man tries to search for his daughter who got lost on the high seas within the infamous Triangle. The man will come in touch with mysterious and extraterrestrial powers. This movie from 1979 was also directed by Tonino Ricci under the pseudonym of Anthony Richmond. The cast: Gianni Garko, Gabriele Ferzetti, Carole André and again Andres Garcia... the only actor who appears in all those three movies. Unfortunately, only a few infos are available about this third movie due to its limited circulation in the cinema theatres so that until today it remains mysteriously, like our protagonist, unreleased as home video. This project is possible thanks to the big support of three different publishers : Beat Records for "Il triangolo delle Bermude", C.A.M. for "Bermude: La fossa maledetta" and Cinevox Records for "Uragano sulle Bermude - L'ultimo S.O.S. From "Il triangolo delle Bermude" only stereo mastertape of the original 45 rpm single (Beat BTF 108) has survived with two long tracks which have a total time close to nine minutes. "Uragano sulle Bermude" and "Bermude: la fossa maledetta", completely unrelased, are presented in their complete form and in full stereo. Stelvio Cipriani has composed mysterious and fascinating themes which get alternated with lounge, latin, disco and rock music tracks as well as love themes and electronic atmospheres: Listening to all of the 36 tracks divided on two CD (and with a total time of about 111'30") will almost be like exploring oceanic depths with the mind, between wonders and dangers that exist in the deep. A true and adequate musical rescue of three OST from the Italian Silver Age.
