The big box office Piedone lo sbirro was directed in 1973 by Steno (Stefano Vanzina) starring the huge, but lovely Bud Spencer as commissioner Rizzo, a cop working in Neaples, better known as Piedone. This role was later reprised in other three successful sequels: Piedone ad Hong Kong (1975), Piedone l' africano (1978) and Piedone d' Egitto(1979). But the big success of these movies is also thanks to the nice music scores of the brothers Guido & Maurizio De Angelis who have written a sweet and funny Piedone Theme. In 1973 Cinevox Record released an hard to find today 33 rpm Lp with ten selections from the original score. Rescued the original stereo master tapes with the complete score conducted by Nicola Samale, other 10 tracks never before released on the original album were added.
