Sette condannati ai lavori forzati, un sergente e sua figlia sono i nove “tagliagole” che animano quest’anomalo e violentissimo western spagnolo, con atmosfere forse anche più spaghetti dei migliori esempi del western all’Italiana. Dal realismo crudo, fortemente contaminato dall’horror e proto-slasher il quale, a modo suo, anticipa film come “I quattro dell’apocalisse” (1975) e molta cinematografia pulp americana dagli anni ’90 in poi.
